How to Play Pokémon:
Step 1: Choose a starter Pokémon.
Step 2: Battle exclusively with that starter Pokémon, even if you catch other Pokémon.
Step 3: Catch a notoriously bad Pokémon (Including but not limited to: Rattata, Sentret, Zigzagoon, Bidoof, Patrat, Bunnelby, and Yungoos) to be your slave of HM’s (moves that allow one to solve puzzles outside of battle). Ensure that their sole purpose is the usage of HM’s, and that they know no decent moves.
Step 4: Battle every single trainer and gym leader with your starting Pokémon until they reach level 100. This will make nearly every battle a cakewalk.
Step 5: Catch the game’s mascot Legendary Pokémon. Mascot legendary Pokémon range from Lugia to Groudon to Zekrom, and everywhere in between. These are usually high leveled and overpowered Pokémon, so catching them before battling the game’s Elite Four and Champion will guarantee the remainder of the game to be a breeze.
Step 6: Destroy the Elite Four with your legendary Pokémon. Your starting Pokémon is too powerful, let the legendary Pokémon handle its dirty work.
Step 7: Kick the Champion’s butt. Whether its Blue, Lance, Steven, Wallace, Cynthia, Alder, Iris, Diantha, or Kukui, show them what you are made of, and send their Pokémon into next week using only your starter.
Step 8: Profit. You won, nice job!
Step 9: Rinse and repeat. Delete your save data and start again, playing the same boring video game for years to come.
